What is a Widget?
Web widgets have exploded on the market now that Microsoft Vista is becoming more popular with office users around the world. But many people want to know What is a widget anyways?
As it turns out, the original definition of widget from the 1920s meant a piece of equipment whose name cannot be remembered. So asking what is a widget is a bit of a paradox! Defining computer widgets, however, is a little easier. A widget is an application that selectively intakes data and presents it to users in a graphically pleasing way.
Vista is designed to use widgets on the desktop and also to allow users to download web widgets. Many of these widgets are built with flash, but they can also be other forms of code as well.
