Firefox sets Record for Most Downloads
Today on the BBC news, I came across an article that Firefox sets record for most downloads. Seems as though they have been pushing it to be downloaded and had this record of making it a goal.
Well they have achieved that goal.
The final count was over 8 million downloads. Quite a number. The staff and team says it is a great accomplishment, but they were excited and tired at the same time.
The official downloads were audited to account for duplicate downloads and unfinished downloads.
It seems as though Technology is getting better and moving faster. With increased market share, Firefox from Mozilla is gaining momentum, in competition with Internet Explorer, and Safari Web browsers.
There was a security breach in the version 3, but a patch has been created and fixed. So this version is now secure.
